Why ROAS Lab exists

Your ad dashboard shows revenue, clicks and conversions. To find out whether a campaign makes money, you also need its costs. A strong-looking ROAS can still lose money when product costs, shipping, merchant fees, discounts and returns are ignored. ROAS Lab was created to connect media metrics with the unit economics behind them.

Our tools are designed for practical planning. A user can estimate break-even ROAS, maximum CPA, affordable CPC, profit margin, CPM, MER, POAS and LTV:CAC without building a spreadsheet from scratch. Each result is accompanied by an explanation so users can understand the formula rather than treating the output as a mysterious score.

What we publish

The website includes interactive calculators, step-by-step guides, a marketing glossary, worked hypothetical case studies and transparent calculation methodology. The content focuses on performance marketing and ecommerce economics, including attribution, contribution margin, customer acquisition and campaign efficiency.

We aim to keep every page useful on its own. Articles should answer a specific question, use plain language, provide worked examples where appropriate and connect readers to a relevant calculator. We do not publish invented client results or disguise promotional claims as research.

How calculations are handled

Calculator outputs are estimates based on information entered by the user. We document core formulas and assumptions on our methodology page. Because businesses account for revenue, tax, returns and overhead differently, results should be checked against the user's own accounting and analytics records.

Editorial transparency

Automation and AI tools may assist with drafting, formatting or illustrative imagery, but content is expected to meet the standards described in our editorial policy. Illustrative examples are identified as hypothetical, and decorative images are not presented as campaign evidence.
